This weekend I noticed an interesting behavioral pattern. Most of the time I watch video podcasts like Diggnation and Tekzila on my notebook. This weekend I watched Diggnation on my new 42 inch HDTV and at a certain point I noticed I walked into the kitchen to get a drink, without pausing the show.

When I watch podcasts on my notebook (or even on my iPhone) I always pause the show when I do something else, even if the show is interrupted by a commercial. The behavioral pattern I’m talking about is that when I’m watching TV and something doesn’t really interest me, I just switch off and do something else. When I watch the same show on my notebook, I stay focused. It’s only my own experience, but if more people show this behavior, I know where I would want to advertise my product or service..
